Tracey Emin’s opening night dinner at White Cube. A night I will never forget, friends and I showed up to the preview night a day too early and upon arrival realised we were walking into the exclusive pre opening night dinner instead, but rather than being kicked out Jay Jopling, founder of White Cube, very kindly found us a seat at the table. Hearing Tracey Emin’s speech about why art is so important brought me close to tears and it was an evening I will treasure forever.
