Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2021

This was my first ever oil painting that I did when I was 17, I have always been intrigued by vibrantly dressed people and this man was sitting opposite me on the tube where I took a photo of him. A year after I did the painting I saw him on the same bus as me, I timidly approached him and he was an artist too and he loved the painting, we have become friends since and he went to visit it in the Royal academy Summer exhibition and was swarmed by everyone in there when they noticed it was him on the wall!
